Spring is here, and the daffodils are blooming - it's awesome to have splashes of yellow in the house to brighten up the place.

I'm a massive fan of Moleskine products anyway, but when I spotted their recipe journal, I knew we had to buy it. The first recipe to be added will have to be the delicious Focaccia con pancetta e cipolle. I'm baking it again this afternoon, and I can't wait to build up our repertoire of recipes - I'd like to think that one day our (one-day) children will fight over who gets access to all our delicious recipes!

Have you seen True Detective? I'm utterly hooked, and can't wait to see the last three episodes. Initially I thought there was something dodgy about Cohle, but now I think Marty is the one to watch out for - I can't wait to discover if I'm right, and I really hope there will be another series.

Finally, I hung out yesterday with my good friend London Beauty Queen, which involved champagne and pedicures at The Soho Hotel with MICRO Pedi, followed by a private Pixie Lott gig at Century to celebrate her being the face (hair) of Batiste. I loved her outfit!

It has been an utterly amazing few days with Kept staying at #1 over three days: 19-21 March 2014. OK, Kept might not have been #1 for long on the 19th or 21st, but I was still #1 on those days. Yesterday I dropped to #6, then #8, and now I'm back over in the paid chart.

I'd love to see how high I can get in this chart, so Kept will be available for the next five days at the bargain price of 99p/99 cents for all those who want to read my debut novel that's "quirky, original chick lit with brilliant characters and a fab heroine". (And worldwide at a bargain price, too - just check your local Amazon website.)

I need your help though to spread the word and encourage people to download it, so please tweet the link to Amazon and share it with your networks. The US link is http://bit.ly/KeptUS and the UK link is http://bit.ly/KeptEF. As a thank you for doing this, enter the giveaway below for your chance to win one of six Amazon vouchers or a signed copy of one of my books.

If you've already read Kept and loved it, you can also earn entries by leaving a review on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. If you're in the UK and have left a review on Amazon.co.uk already, just use your same log-in details to access Amazon.com and leave a review there.

Kept is the #1 best seller on Amazon.com!

I never thought I would see the day that Kept would be ranked as #1 in the Amazon.com best sellers list:

Yes, that's out of all the books available on Amazon, my debut novel is currently the most downloaded book in the free overall category, as well as in various subcategories: Literature & Fiction, Women's Fiction, Romance and Humorous Fiction! {^_^}

Late yesterday evening after watching my downloads creep higher and higher, I finally made it to the number one spot, and I'm still in that top spot right now.

I'm excited and thrilled, but I'm also very much in shock - this is utterly incredible, and I can't thank everyone enough who has downloaded Kept and/or spread the word. {^_^}

I hope all of you who have yet to read it love it. For those who have already read it, Lost - the sequel to Kept - will be out later this year. Now, can someone please pinch me again? x

PS: I'm also #5 in Canada, and #13 in Australia in their best seller charts - brilliant! :D

The final episode of Fleming aired on Sky Atlantic this week, but I wish there was still more episodes to come - it's been a fabulous mini-series, that I've really enjoyed watching. I absolutely love the James Bond books, and now I think I need to find a biography about Mr Fleming to find out more about the man who created one of the most iconic spies there ever was.

On Pancake Day we opted for... errr, piri piri chicken and discovered the most amazing mash. Take sweet potatoes, potatoes, lemon, chilli and coriander (there's no feta cheese in my version) and you won't be disappointed. I have a feeling it will also go perfectly with this sea bass recipe.

QuizUp has finally come to Android, which is sure to be a distraction from me writing my third book as I prove my knowledge to the world - someone take my phone away from me!

Finally, we watched We Bought A Zoo this week which is a heart-warming film, based on a real-life story. I was insistent that we booked tickets immediately to Southern California so we could go and visit... but I then discovered that the real zoo is actually in the UK, and they are getting giraffes, my favourite animal! We'll definitely be visiting Dartmoor Zoo as soon as we can, but for now I'm reading Benjamin Mee's book of the same name. I highly recommend you do the same.
