Tower of London

This weekend involved a trip to the Tower of London. Here's the famous White Tower, begun by William the Conquerer in 1066:

Inside the White Tower we found knights, lions, unicorns and dragons, and I discovered my hometown was a temporary Royal Mint during the Civil War:

Afterwards we had a mooch by the Thames where we spotted Beefeater Mandeville and some famous London landmarks:

Oh, and we also had a visitor to our garden this weekend - Batfox - and speaking of bats, we also saw the rather brilliant The Dark Knight Rises (who didn't see that film this weekend!).

How was your weekend? x

  2. He was scary though!! We see him on the street sometimes but having him loom over the garden seemed worse! x
